No, You Don’t Need Conditioner for Healthy Hair

The Best Shampoo & Hair Mask Combination Based on your Hair Types

For years, I’ve been doing something a little controversial with my hair, and Blake Lively basically made it the entire premise of her new hair brand.

Obviously, I’m not saying that Blake was inspired by me, but I love that I have been on to something for a little while now, and if you follow me on my page, we’ve talked about it so many times before. Now more people are going to find out about it, and I truly think it’s the secret to having longer, healthier, shinier, stronger hair.

Why you don't need conditioner? The Best Shampoo and Hair Mask Combination for All Types of Hair

Is hair conditioner actually necessary, or can you go without it?

Blake Lively did this interview with Vogue, where she was talking about her hair secret, and she was like, “for years, I’ve had the best stylists, the best people treating my hair, and it’s not that we’re blessed with better hair as entertainers, we just have better secrets.”

And her number one secret was to stop using conditioner. So the way that it works, and the way that I’ve been doing it forever, is that you shampoo your hair with your shampoo of choice, and you follow with a hair mask. You skip the conditioner.

Is it good to skip conditioner?

I know that this can get kind of confusing, and there obviously are a lot of benefits of using conditioner, but hair masks can basically do the same thing and more. If you don’t wash your hair often, you can just stick on using hair mask for hydrating and mosturizing your hair.

Hair mask is generally considered better than conditioner because it provides deeper moisturization and offer intense hydration and nourishment. They are specifically designed to repair and strengthen hair, especially if it’s damaged or color treated.

I haven’t had a chance to check out Blake Brown myself, but I hope that I can one day. In the meantime, I already have a combination of my favorite shampoo plus hair mask combos.

I did the research so you don’t have to, and these are my four favorite combinations of shampoos and hair masks based on your hair type.
