It’s just another day in your home. You’re having dinner with your partner or your family and you immediately grab your meal from the kitchen and plop down in front of the TV to watch the next episode of the show you are currently binging. While this may be exactly what you need after a long day, it’s nice to mix things up once in a while. Tonight for dinner, how about a side of the conversation? Conversation starters can be essential for couples who have a strong bond and are connected.
Breaking up the digital monotony of our day not only has the mental and emotional benefits of connecting with your partner but also has actual physical benefits too.
Here’s what not to do: do not make it seem like a chore. Remember, while you may be in the mood for conversation – it may not be what your partner wants or needs at the time. Be mindful and engage your partner or family accordingly.
Coming up with the right questions to ask can be tough. A good conversation stems from good conversation starters and I’ll get into those below. However, if you’re looking for a quick one sheeter with fun (and daring) questions to ask each other download my free list here. You can save it to your phone and pull it out when you’re in the car together or even having dinner.
